All diets work: individuals do lose weight and may even reach their goal weight. Unfortunately, the majority of dieters eventually go off their diets and put the wait back on, plus a few extra pounds. Therefore the problem isn't the diets themselves. The problem is that the diets aren't sustainable: dieters get bored, succumb to temptations, feel deprived or just lose the motivation to stay on them. Importantly, diets don't change a person's poor eating habits, they only temporarily sideline them. When a person goes off their diet, the life-long, poor eating habits, like the mosquitos of summer, return in full force.
A famous exercise guru was frequently asked, "What is the best exercise?" His reply was always, "The one that you will keep doing!"
The same holds true for diets:The diet that will work for you is the one you can live with. Logically, it has to be a diet which will make permanent changes in your eating habits, permitting you take off the excess weight for good.
That is the core of my program: Making the key changes in your eating habits which will permit you to easily reach your goal weight, and comfortably maintain your weight loss without feeling deprived.
